Whenever I catch a video from these five humans, I always stop to watch. If you have five minutes to savor some fresh dance videos, tune in to these lesser-known but stellar movers.
Dalton Rhodes—Living in Chicago
Dalton is an angel of sultry movement who recently won Mr. Pole Dance America. I haven’t met Dalton in person, but I would LOVE a dance date so I can enjoy all that floaty leggy musical embodiment in person ; )
What I learn from watching Dalton:
Stay IN your dance. Through slow and fast, big and small, stay IN it. And, WORK YOUR HAIR.
Olga - Living in Poland
Olga blew my mind for the first time this June when I was judging the Exotic Moon Competition. When she throws a trick, she doesn’t lose her soft sexiness. I’m generally captivated by dancers because of the energy they bring to their dance, but I can’t watch Olga without noticing how freaking HOT she is. Olga doesn’t have many videos, but if there were hundreds, I’d watch them all.
What I learn from Olga:
Large movement and power tricks can still be soft and sensual, so don’t write off trying new things. Also, finely crimping your hair looks incredible on stage.
Kristina - Living in Ukraine
Kristina moves like a creature from the swamp of sexiness. Within seconds of her videos starting, I say things like, “Oooh Shit.” She carries erotic energy into deep ranges of motion. Plus, her fingers are a show of their own.
What I learn from Kristina: You can integrate your face into your dance in a powerful way without even looking at the camera. In particular, I learn what creaturesqe sex face is, and I’m into it.

Camille De Haas—Living in Paris
I first met Camille when she attended one of my workshops. Every time I’d catch a glimpse of her moving, I thought, “She is excellent—do people know about her? They should”. Camille has the creativity and ease of a contemporary dancer and the solid strength of a gymnast. She’s so skilled that we invited her to be a part of the teaching staff at the sold-out Anemona Gathering.
What I learn from watching: ‘Taking up space’ has nothing to do with body size. When you get distance from the pole, you command attention.
(I consulted my Russian friends to find out how you say her name— it’s Tanya.) —Living in Ukraine
Tanya shares sequences that feel simultaneously nostalgic and fresh. She blends classic stripper style into more current sequencing. Plus, she practices capoeira and does yoga in parks, very cool.
What I learn from watching: Get DOWN in your squats and lunges for a striking contrast to your straight leg standing dance work.
